VerOFy® I/II

VerOFy® is a unique platform technology that incorporates rapid and standardized oral fluid collection with high-quality immunochromatographic test strips providing a system for delivering results in field or point-of-test locations. The technology was originally developed for roadside drug testing, but may be applied in any setting where immediate drug test results are required, for instance workplace testing, in schools and random drug testing situations.

Additional applications for the VerOFy® outside of the drug testing area are under development at this time.

The first product offering in the VerOFy® format is the VerOFy® II DOA Test. In the VerOFy® II DOA Test, saliva is collected by means of a “fork-shaped” pad, which simultaneously delivers oral fluid to two test strips located in the "handle" of the device and (at the same time) provides two separate oral fluid specimens, which may be used for confirmatory purposes, either immediately or later under laboratory conditions.

VerOFy® II DOA tests for the following drugs: THC, Opiates, Cocaine, Methamphetamine, Amphetamine and Phencyclidine (PCP). Adequate sample volume is detected by means of a novel Sample Sufficiency Indicator on the VerOFy® platform, which changes from blue to colorless indicating that enough saliva has been collected for subsequent analysis and confirmation. Sample collection is carried out until sufficient specimen has been collected for immediate on the spot pass-fail analysis.

NEGATIVE: If the subject is negative for all drugs, four lines will appear on each test strip (one for the Control line on each test strip and one for each of the three drugs being screened). A negative result indicates that all drug concentrations are below the detectable level of the test.

POSITIVE TEST RESULTS: A red line will appear in each of the Control regions of each of the test strips. If ANY of the other Test lines fail to appear, the level of that particular drug is above the detectable level of the test. As an example see the diagram above. In this particular case the subject is positive (over the detectable limit) for Cocaine (COC), Methamphetamine (METH), Phencyclidine (PCP) and Opiates(OPI).*NOTE: Many other outcomes are possible depending upon drugs ingested by the subject.

INVALID: If the Control line fails to appear on either strip, the test is considered invalid and the procedure should be repeated using a new test device. The most likely cause of this is insufficient sample volume or incorrect procedural technique. If the problem persists discontinue using the device and run an independent test
